This issue is only applicable to music videos and any other encrypted WMV or WMA content (and is NOT applicable to MP3s or mobile products). In the license failed window there should be a message as to why it failed. The error message you receive should give you information on the specific problem. The most common problems are:
  1. The song or video may no longer be available, in which case you will not be able to acquire a license for this file. If the product license is no longer available from our system, you can delete the file from your computer and try downloading a different one.
  2. Your player might need an update, in which case you will need to go to the media player's website and download the latest version. We recommend you choose to play the file with Windows Media Player. Updates to WMP can be found at www.windowsmediaplayer.com.
  3. High traffic on the site may, at times, cause congestion. You may attempt to acquire the file license at a later time.
  4. The file may not be available in your specific country due to copyright restrictions.

Important note: If your player is generating any other type of odd error code, please use the Search box at www.microsoft.com to find information about the potential cause for the problem and the recommended fix or consult the media player's website.
